In any class, not just yoga classes, you will not grow much if you just passively follow the instruction. Classes should be a place and time to test the results of what you have reviewed and prepared for, so that you can be more active in the classes and grow more.
Even if you attend class five times a week without fail, if you just attend passively, it can happen that you do not even remember the order of the sun salutations that you are asked to do many times each time. Postures that you are not good at will never progress.
If you keep making the same mistakes, show no desire to improve, or refuse to listen, your teacher will give up trying to correct your posture.
Overcoming difficulties can be painful and takes patience and time, but there is always a solution.
If one side works but the other side does not, it is important to carefully observe your posture to find out what the difference is.
And watch for any parts of your body that you are not using in any posture, and use everything you can use.
And use your teacher effectively, ask for advice. That’s what teachers are there for.
