Cosmoscape Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 29, 2026
Cosmoscape (“the app”) is developed by Toshihiro Nakanowataru. This policy explains
what information the app uses and how.
Summary
We do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal information. The app has no
user accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking. We do not operate any
server that receives data from the app.
Location
– If you allow location access, the app uses your device’s location to show your
current location on the globe and to show local weather. Location access is
optional. You can use the app without it by choosing a city.
– To get weather, the coordinates of the selected place (your current location or a
city you chose) are sent to Apple’s WeatherKit service. This information goes to
Apple, not to us. Apple’s handling of this data is described in Apple’s Privacy
Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).
– You can turn location access off at any time in Settings.
City search
– When you search for a city, the text you type is sent to Apple Maps to find
matching places. This information goes to Apple, not to us.
Information stored on your device
– The app stores your list of cities and recent weather results (for up to 6 hours)
on your device only. This information is never sent to us. It is removed when you
delete the app.
Purchases
– Cosmoscape Full is sold through the App Store. Payment is handled by Apple. We do
not receive your payment information. The app checks your purchase with the App
Store on your device.
Children
– The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
